Arlington couple face sexual abuse charges

An Arlington couple has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a family member, according to Arlington police.

Cathrine Sue Scott and her husband, Charles David Scott, face aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child charges, Arlington jail records show.

Police have released few details of the case because “It’s an ongoing investigation with details continuing to unfold,” said Tiara Ellis Richard, an Arlington police spokeswoman.

Police and Child Protective Services were alerted to the alleged abuse on Feb. 16. Two children living in the home have been removed, CPS spokesman Chris Van Deusen said.

Cathrine Scott remains in the jail on a $75,000 bail. Charles David Scott was being held on a $100,000 bail.
