This summer, Mark Cuban is bringing live music from Deep Ellum directly to the country’s living rooms.

It was announced today, via Entertainment Weekly, that Cuban’s AXS TV is launching a summer concert series on Aug. 11, with a performance from the Monkees that was filmed at Dallas’ Bomb Factory.

The other artists on tap for the series include the Village People (airing Aug. 18), Bret Michaels (airing Aug. 25), KC and the Sunshine Band (airing Sept. 1) and Bad Company (airing Sept. 8).

“With this exclusive series, I wanted to craft a fun live concert event, giving viewers the best seat in the house to experience these legendary acts,” said Cuban in a statement.

Perhaps Cuban will address this new venture when he appears on tonight’s episode of the HBO series Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons.
