No, it is not an April Fools’ Day joke.
That was the initial concern when tour dates for the (mostly) reunited Guns N’ Roses began trickling onto the Internet earlier this afternoon.
But in fact, the Los Angeles-based hard rock band is gearing up for an American stadium tour this summer, which will bring them to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium Aug. 3.
Tickets for the date, which will range in price from $45 to $250, go on sale at 10 a.m. April 8 via Ticketmaster. (There are a number of presales available, including the GNR fan club and Citi Private Pass, which will be available prior to the April 8 general on-sale date.)

For this run of 20 shows, which kicks off June 23 at Detroit’s Ford Field, mercurial frontman Axl Rose is being joined by original members Slash and Duff McKagan (“classic era” members Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler are, reportedly, out this time around).
The return of Slash and McKagan fills in the current roster, which includes Dizzy Reed, Chris Pitman, Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer.
This reunited incarnation of GNR will perform tonight, for the first time together in 23 years, at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
Axl Rose last brought Guns N’ Roses to North Texas in May 2013, performing at Dallas’ House of Blues, to mark the 25th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction.
