Adele’s songs are known to induce tears in her fans, but the British pop superstar had fans crying for different reasons Thursday.

Tickets for her 56-date U.S. tour went on sale at 10 a.m. locally, and if the two Dallas shows (Nov. 1-2 at American Airlines Center) are any indication, most hoping to score seats for Adele’s first proper American tour in five years were left bereft.

The AAC shows sold out in short order (as did her entire North American tour), and the hashtag #adeletickets began trending on Twitter.

Complaints about secondary ticket outlets, like the eBay-owned StubHub, were also prevalent on social media this afternoon.

I don’t want to say it’s tempting to laugh at these people’s pain, but c’mon ... some of these complaints/gripes/statements of resignation and defeat are pretty amusing.

It’s unclear if Adele will add additional shows to her tour supporting the quintuple-platinum 25, but we’ll keep you posted.
