Hot 93.3 adds Lil Brownie to lineup

The evolution of KLIF/93.3 FM “Hot 93.3” continues with the addition of Lil Brownie to the lineup. She’ll hold down the 9 a.m.-2 p.m. midday shift.

She debuted Friday — and is on the air at this writing. Her background includes a gig as morning-show producer and on-air talent at KKDA/104.5 FM “K104,” and co-hosting nights at KZZA/106.7 FM during its rhythmic Top 40 “Casa 106.7” era.

She was also featured on the local TV show DMX TV.

A little Googling turned up a Model Mayhem page for Lil Brownie. The page needs some updating, but it lists her height at 5 feet, and that probably hasn’t changed and helps explain the “Lil” part of her moniker.

According to her Model Mayhem bio, she was the first Latina at K104, and also hosted a show called Brownie Points TV. She also appears in this music video by DFW-based Play N Skills, but then, so do a lot of other people.

Hot 93.3 has slowly been adding DJs since it morphed out of i93 in October, briefly sounding like a straight-up Top 40 station, then briefly doing a “hip-hop for the holidays” format before settling on its current hip-hop/R&B format, which looks like it might stick around for a while.

Zann was added as the 6-11 p.m. personality in January, and the Crisco Kidd Block Party was put in the 2-6 p.m. slot in March. A morning show is still TBA.
