About the candidate: He said that he has shown leadership during the last six months as mayor, including signing an oil and gas lease that can bring in "a huge amount of money."

About the candidate: Leach says his background is diverse, giving him a good balance of people skills, leadership, finance and, most of all, a concern for others. He said he believes in giving back to the community and was a community activist before being appointed to the City Council.

About the candidate: He said that he has always tried to help his family, friends and community, saying that he was raised to work hard seven days a week.

Background: Clark graduated from high school in Olney and attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. She has worked in insurance for eight years. She was appointed to her council seat in September.
About the candidate: Clark says she feels that she brings a genuine interest and truly cares about Pelican Bay and its residents. She said her vision for Pelican Bay is basically the same as those who already live there -- it's a great place to raise her child, and it's a safe, caring community.
Name: M.E. Haggard

Background: Haggard has lived in Pelican Bay for three years; his wife has lived there for 17 years. He attended college for two years. This is his first run for office.
About the candidate: Haggard said he works hard at everything he does and wants to improve the city, including its streetlights and roads.
