About the candidate: Believes his engineering background and his experience in other municipalities would be valuable to the city. He would like to promote redevelopment of the city's commercial areas, but "we want to make sure we maintain the city as what it is -- a rural oasis in the middle of the Metroplex." He would also save some gas lease revenue for the future.

About the candidate: Cites improvements to the city water system, construction of the jail and development of the Fire Department as major accomplishments during his tenure. An issue now is how to use gas lease revenue. He opposes any tax increases. "We used some of it for a new fire engine. It was prudent use of the money. I'm of the school that we don't spend money foolishly. I believe in keeping a tight rein on spending," he said. Snodgrass would give special attention to the redevelopment of Pleasant Ridge Road.

About the candidate: Foremost is her desire to maintain quality of life in the city while fostering economic development. "People know I do my homework. I research things. The important thing is to maintain the city ambience while developing the assets," she said. She believes that some revenue from gas well leases should be invested for the future. She would also like to find new ways to keep residents informed about city business.
