Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra conductor and music director Miguel Harth-Bedoya is not timid when it comes to pushing the musical envelope. So it is no coincidence that one of the musical projects with which he’s most closely associated — Caminos del Inka — calls on a sprawling three centuries of the music shaped and inspired by Incan landscape and culture. A couple of other notable firsts will mark this concert. It will showcase the world premiere of Lago de Lágrimas by Jimmy Lopez, considered one of the up-and-coming composers. And the concert will also feature, and likely will introduce to many in the audience, the exotic cajon drum, spotlighted during an exceptional solo moment.Read more
