But this was real -- police officers in the field early Wednesday, responding to accidents on rain-swept highways."We're going to need a couple more units. We've got another wreck out here."There were only three accidents 6-7 a.m. in Fort Worth, according to police records.But another 15 were quickly added 7-8 a.m. as commuters started filling the roadways beneath steady rainfall, the records showed.Those wrecks were cleared up, but they were major choke points during the rush hour, including these three on Fort Worth's west side (details noted as available):-- Eastbound Interstate 30 at Las Vegas Trail, involving a tractor-trailer.-- Southbound West Loop 820 south at Interstate 30.-- Eastbound Interstate 30 at West Loop 820 north, involving a jackknifed tractor-trailer and two cars.Other Fort Worth rush-hour wrecks were reported at:-- Texas 121 (the Airport Freeway) at Handley Ederville Road, blocking two left lanes.-- Northbound Interstate 35 at Garden Acres Boulevard, involving two vehicles, one in the ditch.Six major accidents were reported 7-8:30 a.m. in Arlington, according to police records.Included was a wreck on West Pleasant Ridge Road in front of Martin High School, where emergency vehicles were on scene. No major injuries, however, were reported, according to an Arlington police spokeswoman.
