'Earl,' 'Betty' and 'Scrubs' keep it funny

Star-Telegram Staff Writer

The too-soon season finale of 30 Rock (Don't go! You just came back!) is among the many highlights of yet another DVR-challenging Thursday.

Stuff to watch or record

One Life To Live: Snoop Dogg's quest for world domination continues as he appears today and Friday on the long-running daytime drama, and even remixes the theme song. 1 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

The Oprah Winfrey Show: Winfrey travels to Las Vegas for a chat with Cher and Tina Turner. We all might just need bigger TVs to handle that much personality. 4 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

My Name Is Earl: Last week's episode ended with the surprise wedding of Earl and Billie (Jason Lee, Alyssa Milano). Tonight, Earl gets to find out if getting hitched was a good karmic choice. 7 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

Ugly Betty:Invasion's Eddie Cibrian plays the PE coach of Betty's fashion-obsessed nephew Justin (the terrific Mark Indelicato), and it looks as if sparks will fly between the coach and Justin's mom, Hilda (Ana Ortiz). 7 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

Survivor: Micronesia -- Fans vs. Favorites: If this isn't the best Survivor ever, it's the best in a long time, with more injury-induced exits and blindside eliminations than the past few Survivors combined. Tonight, savant-like Erik Reichenbach deals with the ups and downs of being the only man left in one of the most female-dominated seasons ever. 7 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11

Scrubs: Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) tells his son a fairy tale featuring the Sacred Heart staff, with J.D. (Zach Braff) as the Village Idiot, Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) as the Dark Lord and others turning up as storybook creatures. 7:30 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

Grey's Anatomy: Seattle Grace institutes a "date and tell" policy. With all the dating that goes on at that hospital, the telling will make it hard to get much work done. 8 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: In one of the most bizarre crossover stunts in TV history, CSI writers did the script for Monday's Two and a Half Men, which included CSI-style bodycams and a procedural-worthy twist. Tonight, Two and a Half Men writers return the favor and do CSI, in an episode in which Katey Sagal plays a sitcom diva found dead in Vegas. Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre has been pretty open about his troubles with sitcom divas in the past, so expect him to exact some sweet revenge here. 8 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11

Supernatural: You know, I'm guessing that tonight's zombie-themed episode takes place in Erie, Pa., but given the creepy nature of this show, whoever spelled it "Eerie" in the CW synopsis can be forgiven for the error. 8 p.m., KDAF/Channel 33

30 Rock: As tends to be the case with season finales, it's a time of transition, with Jack (Alec Baldwin) finding out that his Homeland Security job isn't what he thought it was (Matthew Broderick plays a colleague), and Liz (Tina Fey, who deserves an Emmy for last week's episode alone) struggling with domestic and career crises. Edie Falco reprises her role as C.C., Jack's congresswoman ex. 8:30 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

Tougher in Alaska: Geo Beach hosts History'slatest macho-men and macho-women series, which, as the title indicates, is about the hardiness needed to live in Alaska. In the premiere, Beach goes hunting for gold. 9 p.m., THC

Lost: One of this series' many mysteries has been the identity of Jacob, the cabin-dwelling entity with a connection to the nefarious Ben (Michael Emerson). Tonight, Locke (Terry O'Quinn) gets a step closer to solving that mystery, but on this show, one answer can lead to a dozen more questions. 9:02 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8
