Flames at Stars

7:30 tonight, American Airlines Center

TV: KDFI/Ch. 27 Radio: KTCK/1310 AM

Key matchup:Jarome Iginla vs. Jere Lehtinen Lehtinen might or might not be matched much against the Flames’ best player, but the defensive presence of the veteran forward will be worth watching in his return to the ice from a rib muscle injury.

Key stat: 3.58. Calgary’s goals-per-game average, which ranks third in the NHL. The Stars rank fourth at 3.43 per game, creating the potential for a high-scoring matchup.

Injuries: Dallas, none. Calgary, none.

Notable: This is the second meeting of the season between the Stars and Flames. Dallas beat Calgary 5-2 on Oct. 9, with Alex Auld facing Flames backup Curtis McElhinney in goal. … Marty Turco and Calgary’s Miikka Kiprusoff are expected to start tonight. … C Mike Modano (ribs) is expected to return to the lineup. He has played one game this season. … Calgary is coming off a 3-1 loss to Detroit on Saturday and has lost two straight. … The Stars are coming off a 4-2 loss to Nashville on Saturday. — Mike Heika
