ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys have given a big thank-you gift to the city that helped build their $1.15 billion stadium.

Arlington will soon have its own suite at the stadium and will be given tickets for events there, Mayor Robert Cluck said Tuesday. The suite will be used for personal use by city officials and employees, but it will also be a useful tool for economic development, Cluck said. The city will also allow nonprofit agencies to use the suite for events and raffles, just as it does with its suite at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, he said.

"We’ll enjoy it personally; there’s no question about it," said Cluck, who watched the George Strait concert Saturday from a different suite.

While the suite and events will be free, food and drinks won’t, he said. — Susan Schrock
