The Texas Brahmas went to a shootout for the second consecutive game Tuesday night, losing to the Mississippi RiverKings 2-1 in Southaven, Miss.

The Brahmas (3-2-2) had a good chance to win in overtime on Lee Jubinville’s breakaway, but Mississippi goalie Ray Jean came up with the save.

The RiverKings (5-4-0) got on the board first when Bobby Chaumont sent a shot just beyond the glove of Brahmas goalie Joe Palmer 1:35 into the second period, but Grant Jacobsen evened the score 1-1 minutes later with his fifth goal of the season. Ryan Held scored the winning goal in the shootout. The Brahmas outshot the RiverKings 34-26 but went 0-for-10 on the power play. The Brahmas play at Amarillo on Friday night before returning home Saturday to face Tulsa.
