Antoine Roussel broke a third-period tie for the second time in three games, and the Dallas Stars beat the San Jose Sharks 5-3 on Saturday.
The game-winners are the only goals this season for Roussel, who also had two assists against San Jose.
John Klingberg’s shot from the right point hit Sharks goalie Alex Stalock’s pads and Roussel’s skate, and the puck trickled across the goal line with 6:23 to play.
Tyler Seguin added a power-play goal into an empty net.

Dallas has won eight of its last nine games, including three in a row at home by a 4-3 score. San Jose has lost five of six.
Patrick Sharp scored the first goal for the Stars, who didn’t trail in the game. Jason Demers added a shorthanded goal and an assist.
For San Jose, Joe Pavelski and Joel Ward scored on the power play, and Matt Nieto had a shorthanded goal.
Antti Niemi made 26 saves for Dallas. Stalock had 21 for the Sharks.
Dallas scored 2:33 into the game. Sharp won a battle for the puck in the neutral zone, passed to Seguin and skated to the net in time to wrist in a rebound.
Twelve seconds into San Jose’s second power play of the second period, Demers scored shorthanded by tipping in Roussel’s shot from the left faceoff circle.
The Sharks erased that 2-0 deficit by scoring later in that power play and adding a shorthanded goal on a Dallas power play. Pavelski tipped in a drive from the top of the slot at 8:23, and Nieto beat Niemi on a 2-on-1 break at 9:56.
The Stars regained the lead at 15:00 when Vernon Fiddler skated from behind the net and fired the puck past Stalock on the short side.
Ward’s power-play goal tied the score 3-3 at 17:57.
