Rolando McClain returned to practice on Thursday, a day after missing Wednesday’s practice with cramps.

With McClain’s durability becoming a question, the Cowboys had rookie Anthony Hitchens taking snaps with the first team at middle linebacker early on.

Cornerback Sterling Moore (groin) also returned to practice, as well as quarterback Tony Romo.

Among those not seen at practice were cornerback B.W. Webb, as well as safety Johnny Thomas.

Offensive tackle Darrion Weems (shoulder), safety Matt Johnson (hamstring/back), linebacker DeVonte Holloman (neck), defensive tackle Henry Melton (groin), defensive tackle Amobi Okoye (personal health issues) and defensive tackle Terrell McClain (high ankle) also were not practicing for the 30 minutes open to the media.
