DeVonte Holloman is hoping for good news in San Antonio for a second neck injury in less than a year. The linebacker is visiting a specialist after team doctors examined him Monday.
The team fears the injury could be potentially season-ending and career-threatening, according to a source.
“We’ll find out more once we get that evaluation,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Tuesday.
The 2013 sixth-round draft pick missed seven games with a neck injury last season. He re-injured his neck in Saturday’s preseason game against the Ravens.
