The Dallas Cowboys added guard Wayne Tribue to their offensive line mix and cut guard Brian Clarke.
Tribue, 24, has been playing in the Arena Football League with the Philadelphia Soul. The Temple product has spent time with the Broncos, 49ers and Saints, but has yet to make an NFL roster.
“We worked him out last year during the season as one of the group of linemen who we brought in at that time and want to give him a shot,” coach Jason Garrett said of Tribue. “We’ve had some injuries on the offensive line, and one of the things you have to do in training camp is bring guys in and hopefully they’re ready to play in practice.
“Hopefully they see that as an opportunity to make the team, so we’ll get him in there today and we’ll work him in slowly. We don’t want to start too fast with guys we’re just bringing in. It’ll be an opportunity for him and hopefully it will help us with the numbers.”
Clarke, who signed as a rookie free agent out of Bloomsburg, was dealing with a groin injury in recent days.
