Running back Lache Seastrunk, who dazzled Baylor fans with his game-breaking skills then bounced around the NFL as a rookie in 2014, signed with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.
The Cowboys also signed linebacker Justin Jackson and released rookie running back Synjyn Days of Georgia Tech.
Seastrunk was selected in the sixth round by Washington in the 2014 NFL Draft. He didn’t make the final roster then spent time on the Carolina and Tennessee practice squads the remainder of his rookie season.
He was released by Tennessee on May 18.
Seastrunk was a five-star high school recruit out of Temple. He signed with Oregon then transferred to Baylor.
While at Baylor, Seastrunk appeared in 24 games with 14 starts, carrying 289 times for 2,189 yards and 18 touchdowns. He caught nine passes for 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. As a senior, he earned All-Big 12 first-team honors and led the league in rushing with 1,177 yards.
