The Cowboys suffered several notable injuries Sunday night.
Wide receiver Terrance Williams broke the tip of his index finger, but does not need surgery on it. He is expected to play through it with a splint.
Backup safety Jeff Heath and defensive end Jack Crawford weren’t as fortunate, though, as each were diagnosed with thumb injuries that require surgery. Coach Jason Garrett is anticipating each of them missing Thursday’s game, but that is always subject to change.
Crawford wasn’t seen in the locker room when it was open to the media on Monday, but Heath is still hopeful to play Thursday against the Giants.
Never miss a local story.
“If it comes down to just a pain thing and I can wear a cast, that’s what I plan on doing,” Heath said.
Linebacker Dekoda Watson is also on the injury report with a hamstring injury and his status is unknown at this point for Thursday’s game.
