The Omni Frisco Hotel will serve as a cornerstone for The Ford Center at The Star complex, which will be anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters.
Omni executives, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Frisco Mayor Maher Maso and others attended a Tuesday news conference to announce new details about the hotel.
Set to open in early summer 2017, the 300-room, 16-story luxury hotel will have a rooftop pool bar and grill, sketches of Cowboys’ Ring of Honor members, and 24,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 13,000 square foot ballroom.
Never miss a local story.
The complex is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016 for the end of training camp and on time for the start of the high school football season.
The Omni Hotel has partnerships with other sports properties around the country. The Omni San Diego Hotel is connected, via skybridge, to Petco Park, home of the Padres; the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center connects to the College Football Hall of Fame and Museum; and the brand has plans to build and operate a hotel at SunTrust Park, future home of the Atlanta Braves.
