The Cowboys are targeting Saturday’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins as their dress rehearsal for the season.
It’s the norm for the third preseason game where the starters play longer than any other time before the season opener.
But coach Jason Garrett acknowledges those plans could be altered by the impending weather forecast in South Florida. It could be raining heavily on Saturday, with the possibilty of a hurricane threat.
“Yeah, I don’t think you over think it, but anybody who was a little bit of a question mark you probably don’t have them involved,” Garrett said. “Maybe they are not themselves to handle the conditions or maybe we are not going to get the evaluation we want from them in those conditions.”
Never miss a local story.
Garrett said the weather could also impact how long the Cowboys play their starters on Saturday.
