Tony Romo’s birthday is April 21. It’s the same day the Dallas Cowboys begin their off-season program.
The NFL announced the team’s off-season dates Thursday. Their organized team activities will be May 27-29, June 2, June 4-5 and June 9-12. The team's mandatory minicamp is June 17-19.
Training camp dates will be announced later.
Romo, who is rehabbing from back surgery, isn’t likely to be a heavy participant in workouts. Romo had a herniated disk mended Dec. 27, forcing him to miss the Cowboys’ final game of the 2013 season.
Two weeks ago at the NFL owners meetings in Orlando, Jerry Jones said the quarterback, who turns 34 when workouts begin, was ahead of schedule. He said Romo can do throwing motions, but had not thrown to receivers.
