Cowboys’ Frederick earns All-Rookie honor

Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick was named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie team on Tuesday.
Frederick is the first rookie to start every game at center for the Cowboys and was the first Dallas rookie to start a season opener at center since Andre Gurode in 2002.
Frederick was selected in the first round (31st overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin.
Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy, who led all NFL rookies and set a club rookie record with 1,178 rushing yards, was selected rookie of the year.
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen, who led all rookies with 71 catches for 1,046 yards and eight touchdown receptions, was named offensive rookie of the year.
Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso, who finished third among all NFL players with 159 total tackles, was selected the defensive rookie of the year.
