The Cowboys have 12 players who will become some type of free agent this off-season:
DT Jason Hatcher (Age: 31) He likely has played his final game in Dallas after his best season.
DE Anthony Spencer (Age: 29) He played only 34 snaps after undergoing knee surgery during training camp and likely has played his final game with the Cowboys.
K Dan Bailey* (Age: 25) He has been one of the most productive kickers since he entered the league, making 90.8 percent of his field goals.
OG Brian Waters (Age: 36) Waters could retire (again) after tearing his triceps against Detroit, an injury he needs surgically repaired.
S Danny McCray (Age: 25) A core special teams player, he had eight tackles on special teams.
LB Ernie Sims (Age: 29) He missed four games with injuries, but made six starts.
RB Phillip Tanner* (Age: 25) He had only nine carries for 12 yards, but he played in every game, taking 226 special teams snaps.
P Chris Jones** (Age: 24) He finished 19th in average (45.0) and 20th in net (39.1).
OG/C Ryan Cook (Age: 30) He spent the season on injured reserve.
DE Edgar Jones (Age: 29) He played in seven games after the Cowboys traded for him the week of the season opener.
QB Jon Kitna (Age: 41) He was an emergency signing for the last game of the season after Tony Romo underwent back surgery.
DE Jarius Wynn (Age: 27) He was a pleasant surprise after signing Oct. 15, making 12 tackles with a sack and six quarterback pressures.
