Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence will play on Sunday, according to owner Jerry Jones.
Jones, though, would not say whether Lawrence will start.
“I wouldn’t necessarily speculate in any way when he’ll hit the rotation,” Jones said on his weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan. “But as I see it right now, I think he’s going to be an active part of what we’re doing out there Sunday.”
Lawrence missed the first four games while serving a suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was allowed to return to the team Monday and is expected to rejoin the Cowboys at practice Wednesday.
Never miss a local story.
Lawrence led the Cowboys in sacks last season with eight. The Cowboys have six this season, putting them on pace for 24. They haven’t had 24 or fewer sacks since 2001 when they had 24.
