Free agent guard Vince Carter won’t be re-signing with the Dallas Mavericks after agreeing late Friday to a three-year contract in excess of $12 million with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Yahoo Sports.
The 37-year-old Carter has played 16 years in the NBA and has averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists.
He spent the past three seasons with the Mavericks.
Last season Carter came off the bench and averaged 11.9 points in 24 minutes of action. He made a memorable, buzzer-beating 3-point shot to beat the San Antonio Spurs in the third game of their first-round playoff series.
