The Nuggets also stepped up defensively, making four stops in the final 54 seconds against the Mavericks. ... Ty Lawson had 20 points and nine assists against the Mavs and got to the free-throw line 14 times. ... Kenneth Faried, the Nuggets’ resident energizer bunny, was 7-of-7 from the field and had 18 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in Saturday’s game.
