Getting to a Rangers game just got a little easier. The Rangers announced a partnership with Uber, the Internet transportation company, that will facilitate fans arriving and departing from Globe Life Park. The program begins tonight for the series opener against the Red Sox.
The Rangers have created a new close-in Uber Lot at Globe Life Park, located in the front of Parking Lot C at the corner of Randol Mill Road and Ballpark Way just across from the Centerfield Gate.
When fans contact Uber and confirm their location at Globe Life Park, the Uber app will automatically direct them to the Lot C location. The lot is clearly marked with distinctive Uber signage, a Rangers release said. It will open five hours before game time and remain open two hours after each game.
The Rangers will be making public address announcements during games as well as using social media digital assets to promote the new service.
“We are excited to kick off the summer with this partnership that will make it even easier for both rider and drivers to support the Rangers,” said Beth Huddleston, Uber Dallas General Manager. “Whether you need a safe ride home after enjoying everything the park has to offer or you want to skip the hassle of parking, we want to connect fans to a safe and affordable ride when they need it most.”
