Bobby Wilson collected a career-high four hits in Wednesday’s 15-9 win against the Angels at Globe Life Park. He’s now hitting .348 with 12 RBI since returning to the Rangers in a trade with the Tigers in early May.
It wasn’t just Wilson swinging a hot bat. The Rangers collected a season-high 18 hits to go along with a season-high 15 runs. Ian Desmond and Ryan Rua each had three hits and Adrian Beltre, Nomar Mazara and Elvis Andrus each had two hits. Desmond was 8 for 14 in the three-game series to raise his batting average to .294.

Wilson is the first Ranger to have four hits in a game this season.
“That’s cool. I had a couple balls fall in so that’s nice,” said Wilson, who had a sacrifice bunt in his first at-bat in the second inning. He singled twice to left and twice to center in his next four at-bats. “I’m just trying to do what I can do to contribute.”
All nine starters in the Rangers’ lineup scored a run for the first time Aug. 27, 2014 at Seattle.
“It’s fun from an offensive standpoint, for sure, but from a defensive standpoint you’re trying to put up zeroes,” he said.
