Elvis Andrus was back in his usual spot in the lineup – the two hole – a day after leaving Thursday's game early after being spiked on a double play.
“I was able to run, but to hit the ball I was having some problems. I was feeling a pinch right there,” Andrus said pointing to the spot where the left foot and bottom of the leg meet.
“They took me out as a precaution. I feel fine today.”
Andrus fielded Howie Kendrick’s ground ball near second, stepped on the base for the forceout of a sliding Erick Aybar before throwing to first.
