Leonys Martin is being given another day off with a stiff neck. He slept on it wrong Monday night and will not play in this two-game series against Seattle.
Prince Fielder also remains sidelined with a herniated disk in his neck and it is becoming a more alarming injury as he is visiting with back specialist Drew Dossett for a second time in a week on Thursday.
That left manager Ron Washington fielding a lineup once again that had Daniel Robertson leading off and Shin-Soo Choo in the three-hole. Chris Gimenez is making his Rangers debut, meanwhile, at catcher.
