Prince Fielder remains sidelined after receiving an injection for a herniated disk in his neck on Saturday morning.
The Texas Rangers originally had him in tonight’s lineup, but he was a scratched after feeling continued weakness in his left arm. Fielder hopes to play Wednesday.
Leonys Martin was also scratched from the lineup with neck stiffness. He said he slept on it wrong and it looks like it could take him a couple days to recover. For now, though, Martin is optimistic it’ll be a one day deal.
“I don’t want to miss more than one game,” Martin said. “Hopefully I’m ready tomorrow.”
That left the Rangers fielding a lineup that saw Daniel Robertson batting leadoff and playing center field, and Michael Choice serving as the designated hitter as Colby Lewis goes for his fourth win on the season.
