Another day, another Texas Rangers injury.
Outfielder Jim Adduci is the latest to head to the disabled list with a fractured left little finger. He injured himself while sliding into second base on Friday night.
Adduci made his first start Friday, collecting three hits. He is expected to miss up to four weeks.
The Rangers now have 10 players on the disabled list.
The Rangers purchased the contract of Double A Frisco infielder Luis Sardinas to take his place. Sardinas is considered one of the organization’s top prospects and was hitting .226 in 13 games with the RoughRiders.
