Manager Ron Washington on Wednesday afternoon was considering a day off for Leonys Martin with the idea of getting Michael Choice some needed at-bats. But Martin changed the manager’s mind a few hours later by collecting an eighth-inning triple and the game-winning single in the ninth inning of a 3-2 comeback victory.

Choice is almost certain to start Saturday, when Chicago starts left-hander Jose Quintana. Choice could also be in the lineup Tuesday at Oakland against lefty Dan Straily.
