Move over Boomstick, there are new artery-clogging items at Globe Life Park this year.
The Texas Rangers will officially unveil new concession treats and eats on April 2, but word has already leaked on a few mouth-watering newbies that should have fans drooling in anticipation.
A new stand called State Fare, echoing the famous fried concoctions sold each year at the State Fair of Texas, will sell Fried S’mOreos ($8), a marshmallow breaded in graham cracker then deep fried along with two deep-fried Oreo cookies. If that’s not enough, it’ll be served on a skewer and covered in chocolate sauce and Cool Whip, according to Delaware North Companies, the concessionaire that created the diabolical dessert. Also at the State Fare stand will be buttermilk battered chicken-fried corn on the cob ($5).
Another stand called Just Bacon will feature all manner of bacon-centric goodies, including bacon-flavored cotton candy, candied bacon and bacon-flavored beer.
