Left fielder Shin-Soo Choo was expecting the worse Monday after leaving with a sprained left ankle, but his mind was put at ease Tuesday when an MRI exam showed no significant structural damage.

Two days later, the ankle continues to feel better, but the Rangers’ leadoff hitter isn’t sure when he will return to the lineup.

“When I first came out of the game, I thought it was more than a couple days,” Choo said Wednesday. “The first day I couldn’t even walk. Today I feel better.

“I’m trying to be cautious. I’ll try to do more, but this is a long season. I don’t want to make it worse. If I’m comfortable to play, I will.”
