The nation's premiere football recruiting event will take place in Frisco this summer.
That's right, The Opening Finals are headed to The Star, according to the event's Twitter account. They have previously been held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
The Star is a 91-acre campus that hosts the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters.

This is gigantic news in the world of college football recruiting.
The Opening Finals are THE event in this space showcasing the top 166 high school football players in the nation, which are selected by Student Sports after they are either evaluated on film or in person at one of The Opening Regionals or Rating Days.
The dates listed on The Opening's website for The Opening Finals 2018 are June 30th-July 3.
Some notable alumni include Ezekiel Elliott, Jalen Ramsey, Laremy Tunsil, Derrick Henry, Landon Collins, and Nelson Agholor. TCU signee Atanza Vongor (South Grand Prairie) and Michigan signee Germon Green (DeSoto) were two local participants from last year's final.
Past events have featured NFL stars like Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Ndamukong Suh, Marshawn Lynch, Todd Gurley, Richard Sherman, and Darrelle Revis coaching participants in a variety of drills and competitions.
