Resurgent L.D. Bell grinds out victory against Keller

Behind the running back tandem of Terry Pace and Ivan Traylor, who combined for 320 yards on the ground, Hurst L.D. Bell equaled its win total for the past two seasons combined after Saturday’s late-night 26-14 victory against Keller at the Ford Center in Frisco.

Key players: Pace carried 21 times for 177 yards and touchdowns of 11 and 29 yards. Traylor rushed 16 times for 143 yards with scores of 1 and 10 yards. Keller running back Camron Jones had 27 carries for 161 yards and a 10-yard TD.

Key stat: Down 14-13 at the half, Bell took the opening possession of the third quarter and drove 81 yards, using nearly 7  1/2 minutes. The Blue Raiders converted three third downs and a fourth down on a fake punt. Traylor capped the drive with a TD from 10 yards.

Records: Hurst L.D. Bell 2-1, Keller 0-3.
