Just go ahead and be stupid.
I’ve done it before and now I’ve done it again. After answering exactly 112 mostly angry e-mails concerning one line in one column, it’s not even close to my world record for mad readers. Maybe not in the top 20.But when you are wrong, you’re wrong. And stupid. There is no excuse and no explanation (such as tongue-in-cheek, I-wasn’t-being-serious, etc.) for writing this:“I’d pay Boss Hawg Bowl prices to watch Colt leave on a cart.”I take NOTHING back about wanting to see a UT-TCU state championship matchup (the mere idea seemed to upset plenty of the UT fandom), but, obviously, I don’t want a nice kid like Colt McCoy injured, except it read like it read, and that’s on me.I wrote it wrong, which is unacceptable for someone who has been doing this kind of job forever. And if Colt’s dad, the head football coach at Graham, is still speaking to me, I plan to tell him that next week.Sorry about that, Colt, and stay healthy.Randy Galloway, 817-390-7760
