TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has been selected the Big 12’s preseason offensive player of the year.
He joins teammates wide receiver Josh Doctson and linemen Joey Hunt and Halapoulivaati Vaitai on the first team offense. Defensive lineman Davion Pierson is the only Horned Frog on the preseason defensive team.
The team was chosen by media representatives who cover the league.
Baylor lineman Shawn Oakman is the preseason defensive player of the year and Oklahoma State running back Chris Carson is the preseason newcomer of the year.
