Former TCU basketball standout Darrell Browder, a Fort Worth Dunbar graduate, headlines the nine-member Class of 2015 for the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame.

The other inductees are Norm DeBriyn (Arkansas baseball coach), Thomas Everett (Baylor football), Billy Ray Brown (Houston men’s golf), Ricky Pierce (Rice men’s basketball), Kyle (O’Brien) Stevens (SMU women’s golf), Carlette Guidry White (Texas women’s tracl), Anjanette Kirkland (Texas A&M women’s track), and Tracy Saul (Texas Tech football).

The SWC Hall of Fame induction ceremony and luncheon, which is sponsored by the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas Campbell Centre, 8250 N. Central Expressway, on Monday, Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m.

Browder finished with 1,886 points (all-time leader in TCU history) while averaging 16.1 points per game for his career. He still holds career records for minutes played (4,378) and field goals (803) while ranking among the top five in starts (No. 3, 114), assists (No. 4, 459) and steals (No. 5, 129).

A three-time first-team all-SWC selection and four-year letterman (1980-83), Browder was selected in the fourth round (71st overall) by the Houston Rockets in the 1983 NBA Draft.

Before joining TCU, Browder led Dunbar to the Class 4A state semifinals while earning district most valuable player honors.
