TCU guard Kenrich Williams, who missed last season because of a knee injury, has been selected to the preseason Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball men’s All-Texas College Team. Williams last played in the Horned Frogs’ 64-59 loss to Kansas in the 2015 Big 12 conference tournament to close the 2014-15 season. A 6-foot-7 junior, Williams averaged 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Frogs during the 2014-15 season while shooting at a 47.7 percent clip from the field.
TCU opens its season, its first under new coach Jamie Dixon, Nov. 11 against the University of Saint Thomas at Schollmaier Arena. Williams and his teammates are slated to be on hand for Thursday night’s tipoff party in Sundance Square for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and offers fans a chance to hear from players and coaches while taking part in interactive games and other activities. A live DJ and an appearance by the TCU band will be part of the two-hour festivities. Free parking is available after 5 p.m. in parking garages at Sundance Square.
