Texas receiver Shipley out indefinitely with hamstring injury

No timetable has been set for Jaxon Shipley’s return.

Texas receiver Jaxon Shipley remains sidelined indefinitely by a hamstring injury sustained in Monday’s practice, Longhorns trainer Anthony Pass said Wednesday.

Shipley, a senior who caught a team-high 56 passes for 589 yards and a touchdown last season, is taking daily treatments but no timetable has been set for his return.

The Longhorns have been thinned at receiver by the recent dismissals of Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, as well as the suspension of Daje Johnson.
