Julien Brun and Paul Barjon shot 67 and 68, respectively, helping TCU to a 2-over 290 and a tie for fifth place at the NCAA San Antonio Regional golf tournament on Friday.

Brun is tied for first place with Bryson Dechambeau of SMU.

The Horned Frogs and UCLA are nine shots behind Georgia.

Brun worked around his lone bogey with four birdies to sit at 3 under after the front nine, and collected birdies on the 13th and 18th holes to jump into the lead.

Barjon was perfect through the first nine holes with three birdies until his first miscue with a bogey on the par-4 12th.

But he bounced back with an eagle on the par-5 13th. He followed up with a birdie on the next hole to take a share of the lead before he bogeyed again.

The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, set for May 23-28 in Hutchinson, Kan.
