TCU is in the middle of a stretch in which it will play eight of nine on the road.
The lone game at Lupton Stadium, against Houston Baptist at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, precedes another important Big 12 series at first-place Texas, which begins Thursday.
The Horned Frogs (22-13, 7-5 in the Big 12) have won seven of their past eight and trail the Longhorns (29-8, 9-3) and Oklahoma State (26-10, 8-4) in the league race.
The Frogs won two of three at Kansas over the weekend.
Boomer White, who leads the league with a .379 batting average, had four hits and three RBIs against the Jayhawks.
Kevin Cron had four hits, including two homers, and four RBIs.
Defensively, the Frogs haven’t committed an error in their past four games and have only two in their past seven games.
Right-hander Jordan Kipper (4-2), who struck out eight in eight innings in TCU’s win at Dallas Baptist last week, will start Tuesday night against HBU left-hander Matthew McCollough (1-0).
The Huskies (16-16) have lost six of their past eight.
Meanwhile, Kipper was named the Big 12 co-Newcomer of the Week after his eight-strikeout performance against DBU in which he pitched a career-high eight innings. He has 39 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings pitched.
