Tarleton State has lost nine of its past 12 baseball games, and hopes to get on track with its home weekend series against Angelo State.
“We need to get to the point where we are making wise decisions,” Tarleton State coach Bryan Conger said. “We just need to actually come out and play with commitment.”
The Texans (18-16, 8-13 LSC) are scheduled to play seven of their next eight games in Stephenville. Angelo State (23-15, 12-11) is last in the conference in batting average at .282.
The Texans are scheduled to start Robert Baker (4-4), Colton Burleson (3-4) and Kyle Gottardy (2-3). The series begins at 1 p.m. Friday with a doubleheader scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Texas Wesleyan baseball team travels to Southwestern Christian on Friday, hoping to turn things around.
The Rams (18-20, 9-9 Sooner Athletic Conference) have dropped seven of eight games and have just 12 games remaining.
Following its series at Southwestern Christian, Texas Wesleyan plays its remaining 10 games in the Metroplex, with featured games at UT Dallas (April 22) and UT Arlington (April 29).
