The UT Arlington women’s basketball team hits the road for its final two games of the season, beginning with Wednesday’s game at Troy.
The Mavericks are coming off Saturday’s 95-70 loss to Western Kentucky, their fifth in the last six games. They will face the Sun Belt’s leading scorer, Troy senior guard Joanna Harden, who averages 25.9 points per game.
UTA senior Desherra Nwanguma leads the league with 9.3 rebounds per game.
Troy defeated UTA 68-60 in January in Arlington.
At 3-13 and last in the 10-team league, UTA will not qualify for next week’s eight-team Sun Belt women’s tournament.
UTA coach Krista Gerlich has used seven lineups in 27 games. Senior Laila Suleiman is the only Maverick to start all 27 contests.
