TCU women close out regular season against Kansas State

The Horned Frogs hope to improve their seeding for the Big 12 tournament.

TCU closes out the regular season Monday in Manhattan against a Kansas State team the Horned Frogs previously defeated 64-44 in Fort Worth.

A win would help the Horned Frogs’ Big 12 tournament seeding. TCU sits behind Oklahoma, which is 8-9 in the Big 12 but lost 76-66 on Saturday to the Frogs (7-10).

Freshman Leticia Romero has paced the Wildcats offense this season and enters as the Big 12’s top freshman scorer. Romero is averaging 14.5 points per game to go with 4.7 assists.

TCU junior guard Natalie Ventress enters the game coming off a season high-tying performance from 3-point range, hitting four in TCU’s contest against Oklahoma on Saturday.

Monday will be the fifth meeting between the schools, which sit tied at two games apiece.
