Coming off a season-high 85 points in Wednesday’s win against Georgia State, the UT Arlington women’s basketball team will look to keep the offensive momentum going at 5 p.m. Saturday against Western Kentucky.
The Mavericks (4-22, 3-12 Sun Belt Conference) scored only 46 points in a loss to the Hilltoppers in January.
In the victory over Georgia State, six Mavericks players scored in double figures, led by Tahlia Pope with 15 points.
Freshman Allea Harris, an Argyle product, made three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points.
UTA faces a tough road in order to earn the final spot in the Sun Belt Conference tournament. The Mavericks will need to win their final three games.
Western Kentucky (18-8, 10-5) is second in the conference and has won four games in a row.
