Oklahoma: Sooners landed the Big 12’s lone 5-star signee (RB Joe Mixon), other difference-makers in QB Justice Hansen, DB Steven Parker, WR Mark Andrews.
Texas: Not a Top 10 class nationally but not a bad initial haul for new coach Charlie Strong, who rallied late with key defenders.

Oklahoma State: A nice mix of impact players from the HS and JC ranks, topped by WR Tyreek Hill, QB Mason Rudolph.
West Virginia: Four-star QB William Crest headlines a class heavy on speed and immediate impact, light on Texans (0).
Texas Tech: Red Raiders loaded up on JC linemen to supplement home-grown keepers like QB Patrick Mahomes, WR Ian Sadler.
Kansas State: Lots of quality JC additions with some difference-makers from the HS ranks at the skill positions.
TCU: Late surge by the Horned Frogs boosted a group built around two promising quarterbacks and RB Shaun Nixon.
Kansas: RB Traevohn Wrench, speedy Corey Avery top the list of newcomers who should make an immediate impact.
Iowa State: Well-rounded group touched all areas of need and features a potential stud in four-star WR Allen Lazard.
